The Southern Company, through its subsidiaries, engages in the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity. Further, it develops distributed energy and resilience solutions; deploys microgrids for commercial, industrial, governmental, and utility customers; and offers digital wireless communications and fiber optics services.
